Indonesia Becomes the Most Waste Contributor in the World After China

Poros Nasional. The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, said that Indonesia contributed the most plastic waste in the world after China. So that plastic waste becomes a big problem in Indonesia and even in the world.

"Indonesia is now the biggest contributor to plastic waste in the world after China," he said in Jakarta on Friday (11/23/2018).

According to him, plastic waste must be overcome immediately. Because, if not in 2030 there will be more plastic waste than fish in the sea.

"If we continue like this in 2030 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean," he said.

He added, Indonesia would reduce plastic waste by 70% by 2025. A little time for a big problem.

"Indonesia will reduce plastic waste by 70% in 2025 and in 2025 soon," he said.

Therefore, Susi invites the public to reduce the use of plastic. This is to reduce plastic waste in the sea at this time.

"So let us all reduce the use of plastic in our daily lives as much as possible," he hoped.
